Active Faith and the Sword of the Spirit
|
| Active faith moves mountains, calms storms, and has its own language. You can’t be strong in the Lord with a weak language. Every call of God has a faith language. When God called Jeremiah as His spokesmen, Jeremiah’s response was, “Behold, I cannot speak for I am a child” (Jeremiah 1:6). Notice Jeremiah didn’t see himself qualified. It’s true he was not experienced, but he was qualified. Why? Because that whom God calls, God qualifies. Before God could launch Jeremiah into active ministry, God had to correct his language. “But the LORD said unto me, Say not, I am a child: for thou shalt go to all that I shall send thee, and whatsoever I command thee thou shalt speak” (Jeremiah 1:7). Language reveals calling, anointing, faith, and readiness. Every five-fold ministry gift including apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, teachers, priests, and kings should have a distinctive faith language. When hearts change, language changes. The language of faith is peppered with boldness. When Peter and John were dragged before the Sadducees, their language revealed an association with Jesus. “Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marveled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus” (Acts 4:13). These two men were known by their boldness in speech. Again, you can’t be strong in the Lord with a weak language. Scripture says, “Let the weak say, I am strong” (Joel 3:10). You can never become strong focusing on your weakness or inabilities. That’s what Jeremiah tried to do. God corrected him. The Holy Spirit can do a lot with those that are willing to change the way they think. Don’t tap into weakness. Get into an agreement with the Holy Spirit. Scripture says, “God is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us” (Ephesians 3:20). That power is the Holy Spirit. Scripture teaches that you will always act like the person you think you are (Proverbs 23:7). This means everything you say is affecting your life in some way. The Holy Spirit gives you the way to deal with this situation. The word of God says, “And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect will of God” (Romans 12:2). Renewing your mind is key. Renewing your mind means changing the way you think. As you change the way you think, you will change the way you speak. This is what Jehovah taught Joshua. “This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success” (Joshua 1:8). The Word of God is the sword of the Spirit. Scripture teaches, “For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart” (Hebrews 4:12). The Word of God is your sword. It’s the sword of the Holy Spirit and the sword of the Holy Spirit in your spirit. Meditating on the Word of God will help move the sword of the Spirit from your mind into your spirit. Changing language will confirm it. “Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things” (Philippians 4:8). The kingdom of God responds to God’s word and nothing else. God designed you as his instrument of dominion. He has given you His word to change the way you think, given you His word to call those things that be not as though they were, and given you his word to occupy until he returns. You can’t fail. Renew your mind. Change your language and change your life. Let active faith in the ministry of the Holy Spirit show you the way. |

GIFTS TO MEN
Nine gifts of the Holy Spirit. There are nine gifts of the Holy Spirit in three categories: revelation gifts, power gifts, and utterance gifts. "Have you received the Holy Ghost since you believed?" Scripture declares that He shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost and power. The Holy Ghost is the power of God. You can expect Him to take an active role in your life as you experience the nine gifts of the Holy Spirit, the anointing, and signs, wonders and miracles.
After Christ’s resurrection, He met with His disciples for forty days teaching about the kingdom of God. He told them not to go into the world until they received the baptism of the Holy Spirit. He said they would receive power to witness in all the world “after” the Holy Spirit had come on them (Acts 1:8). This is significant. Jesus knew what it would take to build a Church the gates of hell could not prevail against.
Not only will the Holy Spirit help strengthen your spirit man, pray effectively, give you the power to witness, He will also use you to flow in the supernatural power of God. The Holy Spirit is promised to every believer. He was given to empower you to do what God has called you to do. In other words, you are gifted by Him to do great things. When the Holy Spirit comes on you, not only will you speak with other tongues and prophesy like those in Scripture, you will also be a candidate for the manifestation of the nine gifts of the Holy Spirit. Scripture lays out the nine gifts of the Holy Spirit as following.
“Now there are diversities of gifts but the same Spirit. And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord. And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all. But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal. For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit; To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit; To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues: But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will.” (1 Corinthians 12:4-11)
Notice “the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal.” When you receive “the gift", the Holy Spirit, you also receive the nine gifts of the Holy Spirit “dividing to every man severally as He wills.” These gifts of the Holy Spirit are not just for the preacher; they are for every born-again believer that is baptized with the Holy Spirit. He is that “same Spirit” Paul was referring to.
REVELATION, POWER, AND UTTERANCE
REVELATION, POWER, AND UTTERANCE
The nine manifestations of the Holy Spirit can be broken down into three categories:revelation gifts, power gifts, and utterance gifts.
REVELATION GIFTS (A gift manifestation that knows something.)
1. A word of wisdom
2. A word of knowledge
3. Discerning of spirits
POWER GIFTS (A gift manifestation that does something.)
4. Gift of faith
5. Gifts of healing
6. Miracles
UTTERANCE GIFTS (A gift manifestation that speaks something.)
7. Prophecy
8. Divers (diverse) kinds of tongues
9. Interpretation of tongues
These manifestations of the nine gifts of the Holy Spirit are given to every son and daughter of God after they are baptized in the Holy Spirit. Wisdom and understanding are on the way.
So what are the nine gifts of the Holy Spirit?
They are a word of wisdom, a word of knowledge, discerning of spirits, the gift of faith, gifts of healing, miracles, prophecy, divers kinds of tongues, and interpretation of tongues.
So what are the nine gifts of the Holy Spirit?
They are a word of wisdom, a word of knowledge, discerning of spirits, the gift of faith, gifts of healing, miracles, prophecy, divers kinds of tongues, and interpretation of tongues.
As already said, before Jesus was baptized by the Holy Spirit there were no miracles, healings, casting out demons, walking on water, rebuking storms, cursing fig trees or raising the dead. This is a simple but profound truth, Jesus, the Word of God made flesh, had no miracle-working power until the Holy Spirit came on Him. If Jesus Christ needed the Holy Spirit for effective ministry so do you.
WITH SIGNS FOLLOWING
WITH SIGNS FOLLOWING
Christ gave us other examples of the Holy Spirit working in the lives of believers and the Body of Christ. “And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved but he that believeth not shall be damned. And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; they shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven and sat on the right hand of God. And they went forth and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following” (Mark 16:15-20). These 'signs that follow' manifestations include:
Casting out devils
Speaking with new tongues
Taking up (Greek airō, removing) serpents
Laying hands on the sick for healing
All of these are examples of the work of the Holy Spirit in the lives of born-again believers. As already said, after Christ’s resurrection He told His disciples they would receive power after the Holy Spirit came on them (Acts 1:8). That same Holy Spirit power is available to you. Expect the Holy Spirit to take an active role in your life manifesting the nine gifts of the Spirit, advancing the Kingdom of God with the anointing, and with signs, wonders and mighty miracles following them that believe.
PRAYER
Let’s pray this simple prayer for the baptism of the Holy Spirit together.
Jesus, you are my Lord and my Savior. Lord, I want everything you have to give me including the Holy Spirit. I want the same precious gift of the Holy Spirit you poured out on your servants in that Upper Room on the Day of Pentecost. By faith and according to your word, baptize me, and fill me right now with your Holy Spirit. I accept your promise and baptism by faith. In Jesus’ name, I pray.
When you are baptized with the Holy Spirit, God supernaturally connects your tongue to your spirit man. So after you pray this prayer remember the Holy Spirit does not pray in tongues, you do. The Holy Spirit simply gives you the utterance to pray. Paul said, "For if I pray in an unknown tongue, my spirit prayeth." So open your mouth right now, do not pray in any language you know, and by faith go ahead and start praying in your heavenly language.

THE WARRIORS BREASTPLATE
Zechariah 2:5 For I, saith the LORD, will be unto her a wall of fire round about, and will be the glory in the midst of her.
THE WARRIOR'S BREASTPLATE
|
Before going to battle, strap on God’s breastplate of righteousness.
The breastplate of righteousness is only available to the sons of God. John wrote, “But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name” (John 1:12). As a Christian, you can count on this armor for protection in the heat of battle.
You already know we have no righteousness of our own and can’t work our way into right standing with God. Biblical righteousness is only imparted to the repentant of sins and through faith in Christ’s redeeming blood on the cross at Calvary.
Going through spiritual warfare is not fun, that’s why we call it includes hardship, trial, and tribulation. James said, “Count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing” (James 1:2-4). So we learn then that the breastplate of righteousness is available to us through the redeeming blood of Christ and is cast in faith and tried by fire (1 Peter 1:7).
God imputed righteousness to Abraham because of his faith. Abraham was called the friend of God because he believed against all odds that God was well able to do what he promised. Scripture confirms that God is no respecter of persons (Acts 10:34). What God did for Abraham he will do for you.
The warrior’s breastplate protects the chest, lungs, and, most importantly, the heart. Scripture says, “Keep thy heart with all diligence for out of it are the issues of life” (Proverbs 4:23). To keep your heart means to guard it. I’m convinced the only thing Satan has to work with is what’s in you. Jesus said, “For the prince of this world cometh and hath nothing in me” (John 14:30). Guarding your heart requires mindfulness of what you see, hear, and say. “For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit. For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace” (Romans 8:5-6).
The bottom line for the spiritual warrior means the breastplate of righteousness is yours to strap on because of the ministry of the Lamb of God. “For (God) hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him” (2 Corinthians 5:21). As the righteousness of, God you can boldly declare, “If God be for us, who can be against us?” (Romans 8:31).

SETTING EVIL ALTARS AFLAME
TEXT: 1 Sam 7:7-11
We are looking at a message entitled, “Deliverance from Evil Altars.” And as you read this
message, I advise that you pray the prayer points attached to it. I also encourage you to pay
attention to everything in it so that you can be richly blessed after going through it. In the book
of 1 Samuel 7: 7-11, it is written, “And when the Philistines heard that the children of Israel were
gathered together to Mizpeh, the lords of the Philistines went up against Israel. And when the children of
Israel heard it, they were afraid of the Philistines. And the children of Israel said to Samuel, Cease not to
cry unto the Lord our God for us, that he will save us out of the hand of the Philistines. And Samuel took
a sucking lamb, and offered it for a burnt offering wholly unto the Lord: and Samuel cried unto the Lord
for Israel; and the Lord heard him. And as Samuel was offering up the burnt offering, the Philistines drew
near to battle against Israel: but the Lord thundered with a great thunder on that day upon the
Philistines, and discomfited them; and they were smitten before Israel. And the men of Israel went out of
Mizpeh, and pursued the Philistines, and smote them, until they came under Beth-car.”
We notice in the above story that the Lord thundered with a great thunder upon the enemies of
Israel after Samuel built an altar and offered a sacrifice to the Lord.
WHAT ARE ALTARS?
In the Bible, altars are designed for sacrifices and not just for decoration (Exodus 20: 24). The
Bible also described the various methods of constructing these altars. Some were made of sand
or unhewn stones, that is, stones that have not been chiselled with any tool, and some were
made of bricks. In some cases, a natural rock could automatically be turned into an altar. Altars
were either constructed for God or idols. Any altar constructed for the purpose of idolatry
incurred the wrath of God. In the Bible, we read the story of a king who was sacrificing by an
altar and God sent a prophet who prophesied to it. This shows the role of altars in spiritual
transactions. As a Bible student, you would find that the great men of God in the Old Testament
built altars. This was because an altar served as a medium of communication and worship.
Abraham, Noah, Joshua, Isaac, Jacob, Moses, Gideon, Samuel and David built altars. When
Elijah challenged the Baal worshipers at Mount Carmel, he told them to construct their own
altar and when it got to his turn, what he did was to repair the broken down altar of the Lord.
An altar could also be described as a place where animals are slaughtered for sacrifice, that is, a
place where blood is shed and where blood cries. It is a spiritual dinning table where spirits are
offered food. It is a place of spiritual bureau de change where blood is exchanged for
something. It is a place where contact is made with the spirit world, and it could be with good
or bad spirits. It is a place of spiritual fellowship with either clean or unclean spirits. When
Jacob built an altar in Bethel, it was the angels of God who were ascending and descending on
it. If he had built a demonic one, there would have been the traffic of evil angels otherwise
known as demons.
An altar is a place where covenants are made with spiritual powers. It is also a place of
deliberation, decision and action whether negative or positive. From the above description of an
altar, we can see that there are positive altars as well as negative ones. For example, the cross
where Jesus died was an altar of sacrifice of the Son of God. That cross therefore stood for a
positive altar, which is meant for good purposes. When somebody says your prayer altar is
weak, it means that your prayer life is nothing to write home about. If they say your holiness is
equally weak, they are telling you that your level of holiness is not up to God’s standard.
Conversely, negative altars are raised by the enemies to steal, kill and to destroy. An altar can
be raised to bless or destroy, promote or pull down a person, an organization or a thing. Altars
can also be raised to enhance a course or to frustrate it. So, we see that altars were raised to
either save lives or to destroy the enemies in the Old Testament. According to the passage,
Samuel raised an altar in the name of God against the Philistines, and as a result, God became
angry with the Philistines and thundered with a great thunder against them from heaven. The
altar made things easy for the Israelites. God fought for them and they did not have to do
anything by themselves.
The devil has counterfeited most things God had instituted to bless His people. For example,
people offer sacrifices at crossroads and by so doing, they corrupt the cross of Jesus and this is a
counterfeit. No wonder the problems of many black people can be directly linked to evil altars.
The enemies go about to construct altars of affliction for many people and these altars have
priests of wickedness ministering on them. The devil has taught his people the secret of altars
and they use it for destructive purposes. You may wonder where the devil borrowed this idea.
Remember the Bible says that he had been with God right from the beginning. He had seen the
order of heaven and understood the way things are done over there. So, he duplicates things
and goes about to teach his disciples how to use them for negative purposes. That is why I often
emphasize that prayer against evil altars is not the gentle kind of prayers. An evil altar is a place
of evil transactions where many evil things like infirmities, demotion, failure, etc are
accommodated. And looking at the situation in our immediate environment, where some
people do not mind going to any length to make money or harm their fellow human beings, we
should understand that evil altars must be dealt with aggressively. At this point, I would like
you to pray the following prayer points:
1. Every satanic altar erected against me and my family, be demolished by fire, in Jesus name.
2. I refuse to be a prisoner of any local altar, in the name of Jesus.
Sometimes, sacrifices are made on evil altars in order to seal a contract with wicked spirits.
Sacrifices are food given to evil spirits to enlist their support and this is why the Bible says that
we should not eat things sacrificed to idols, because eating them would amount to eating at the
same table with idols. Any food sacrificed to idols are given to demons and sharing food with
demons means being in agreement with them. That is why you discover that sometimes
sicknesses such as migraine, hypertension etc are not actually the problem. The enemy uses
them as camouflage. It is against this background that Christians are advised to pray always
when they are sick even when they seek medical attention. We should not forget that believers
should rely solely on the Holy Spirit to fight their battles. When your name is submitted to
altars, it is in order to monitor and influence your life in a negative way. Many house-helps,
nannies, in-laws and relations that are brought in without prayers are altar agents who supply
information to evil priests ministering at evil altars. They value this information very much
because it helps them to know which ammunition to use on their victims. These altars are also
used as remote control devices to cause problems for people. Some of the weird things they do
include rituals at crossroads in order to limit their victims for life. A person under the dominion
of these evil altars normally loses his or her mind and can no longer exercise discretion. Such a
person will be living in fear and will be experiencing nightmares and all sorts of afflictions. In
the light of the foregoing, the kind of prayers to undertake against evil altars is not “a
gentleman” kind of prayers, but rather, it is the aggressive prayer of command and prophecy.
Let us look at some of the local altars erected to destroy the lives of people in our environment.
1. Crossroad altars: This is a perversion of the cross of Jesus. The reason they use crossroads is
to summon demons from the north, south, east, and west together against a person. If for
example, you find a pot of sacrifice at your office, it is because they are summoning demons to
cause havoc in that place. Whoever is a victim of crossroad altars would be bombarded with
afflictions. Any born again believer who does not know his or her right and lacks power, cannot
counter the effects of evil altars. A policeman on the road controlling the traffic may stop
vehicles because of his authority that is acknowledged by the drivers, but if he encounters
armed robbers, his uniform of authority notwithstanding, he would be killed. What I am saying
is that there is a difference between power and authority. If you are born again and you have
not received the baptism in the Hoy Spirit, it means that you only possess authority without
power to back it up. Failure to get baptized in the Holy Spirit would make a Christian
powerless and sacrifices offered at evil altars against such a person at crossroads would affect
him or her. The person may not die, he or she may even make heaven, but they will destroy
many good things in his or her life. It is amazing that crossroads sacrifices are seen even in
intellectual communities, like universities and other institutions of higher learning. Whereas,
people think that such practice is done only in slums and ghettoes. This would serve to
disabuse the minds of those who think that offering sacrifices is only for the illiterates.
2. Tree altars: We know that some people put sacrifices by some trees, for example, Iroko tree,
pawpaw tree, banana tree etc. Sacrifices found at tree altars are usually wrapped with white
cloths. That way, a report is filed against a person and the case of such a person is handed over
to the demons living in the tree, including witches and wizards. Before a sister got born again,
she was a member of the demonic world. She became a demonic prophetess, who laid hands on
people while she prophesied upon their lives. She told a story of how she attended a church to
carry out her demonic assignment as usual, but a woman sitting beside her challenged her
claiming that she had a greater power. So, she told her to shut up, and before the ‘prophetess’
could say anything, the woman touched her leg and as a result, both of them were lifted away
from the church and landed in a cave within a rock. There, they saw various kinds of modern
gadgets like refrigerators, stereos, wall clocks, electric cookers, etc and right there she started to
cook for the woman. This explains the fact that there are things happening in the spirit world
which many people cannot see, that is why we must pray until things begin to happen in the
spirit world. We must equally know that there is no extent to which wicked people cannot go to
destroy a person.
3. Photographic altars: Altars can be constructed with wedding photographs, family and
individual pictures and through that, a person will begin to receive torments and afflictions or
he may even get killed. Marriages could be broken through this means. In fact, various kinds of
evil could be perpetrated on people using their pictures.
4. Image altars: Symbols are made to represent a person or something in the spirit world and
whatever they do to that symbol may happen to that person in the spirit. For example, if they
give the head a terrible blow, the person may begin to have severe headache, and this explains
why some students suddenly take ill during their examinations. Also, a shop can be constructed
to represent the real shop of a person, and whatever they do to that image would happen to the
shop in real life.
5. Reporting altars: This is the kind of altar where the name of a person is chanted at all times.
Victims of reporting altars would be hearing their names without knowing who is calling them.
However, if they answer, they immediately fall prey.
6. Clothing altars: This is a case where evil people lay hands on the clothes of their victims for
evil purposes. So, if you know that somebody had cut away some portion from any of your
clothes or your underwear was once stolen or your clothes got missing mysteriously, you need
to embark on aggressive prayer.
7. River altars: These are altars meant to serve water demons. They sit on people’s lives and
keep them submerged.
8. Forest altars: Many people do not know that destroyers do not sleep. They are always busy
operating in the forest at night doing evil with people’s names.
9. Body part altars: Things like placenta, hair, etc are used to destroy lives.
10. Astral altars: There are people who utter evil words against the stars of others in order to
render their lives unfruitful.
11. Altars of evil transfer: Satanic priests and spiritual robbers at the altars of evil transfer,
transfer people’s virtues.
12. Family shrines: Any family with shrines has an altar, and the whole family members are
monitored through that. I once prayed with a sister with a pathetic case. Her mother in-law
brought an idol from their village into their sitting room for three months before she went back
with it. While the thing was there, the woman created traffic of demons in her home. Through
this, the mother in-law now had some evil spirits that were monitoring the sister’s home and
giving them information for evil purposes. It took a great deal of prayer of deliverance to
destroy the effect of the idol. When I asked her why her husband could not get rid of the thing,
she said that immediately her mother in-law brought it in, he turned to a spiritual daft and it
was as if he never went to church before.
13. Physical altars: This is the type of altar where they sacrifice people that are kidnapped. I
know a brother who fell a victim of this terrible altar. When he woke up, he discovered that his
son had thrown his daily guide into the dustbin and that was how he left for the office without
doing his normal quiet time. On getting to the bus stop, somebody emerged from nowhere,
slapped his chest and as a result he began to follow him. He was taken to a bush where there
was a satanic priest with assorted human parts, which littered the surrounding of the altar. As
they were preparing for him, the Lord told him to start praying in the spirit. As he began to
speak in tongues, they became confused. When he saw that, he intensified the praying in
tongues and before long they all took to their heels and he was able to escape. This is an
example of a physical altar.
14. Altar of curses: An example will serve to explain this. Somewhere in Ondo State of Nigeria,
a man boarded a bus and the fare was fifteen naira. He took the old one-naira note, which has
the colour of the current ten-naira note and joined it with the normal five-naira note to settle his
fare. The conductor did not discover this trick immediately, until after a long time during the
trip. Eventually, the driver discovered it and demanded to know the culprit, but all the
commuters denied. The driver got annoyed, brought out a horn with a viper’s tooth and issued
some terrible curses with it. He said the person who did it would bury his children, then he
folded the old one naira and threw it into the bush, and as he was throwing it, he also added
that as the note was being thrown away, the culprit would never prosper. Of a truth, these
curses began to happen to the fellow. He noticed that his brilliant son suddenly became a
dullard. He then started to search for the driver and when he found him, the driver said he had
thrown the thing into the forest and solution could only come if he could find it. The man could
not find it but he ran to Jesus. What did that driver do? He simply erected an altar of curses
against the man.
Beloved, Christian life is a spiritual warfare. If Jesus Christ, the purest man that ever lived had
enemies, it is certain that we would have enemies as well. But there are different strategies in
Christian warfare. You could lay ambush, mount a frontal attack, launch a night attack or do
constant bombardment from afar. However, nothing is as terrible as fighting a war you do not
understand. Sometime ago, somebody showed me a film of the America/Vietnam war. As I
watched it, I almost started to cry because the Americans brought sophisticated weapons to
Vietnam but they could do little or nothing with it because their enemies were hiding on trees
and inside the water with breathing apparatus, hence the Americans could not see them. So, the
Vietnamese succeeded in out-witting many of them. Eventually, the Americans abandoned the
war because they did not understand the strategy of their enemies. In the same vein, if
Christians do not understand the kind of battle they are in, they would be rendered useless. But
our God has the capacity to reduce our enemies to a state of helplessness within a second. The
most difficult situation you may face gives God the greatest opportunity to show Himself as the
Almighty God because He has a lot of unusual weapons that can make us victorious. The usual
trend is that things might start getting worse before they begin to get better and the general
reaction of people is to get discouraged and worried instead of taking the bull by the horn.
Difficult times may be as a result of the penetration of a lot of enemies who must be expelled
before there could be relief. The fact is that, the more the enemy boasts against a child of God,
the greater his fall shall be.
HOW CAN WE DEAL WITH EVIL ALTARS?
1. Recognize their operations which I have already explained above.
2. Repent of those things in your life that are giving evil altars the platform to prosper in your
life.
3. Renounce them. It does not matter whether you know about them or not.
4. Resist them using the words of God.
5. Kill the priests of evil altars who are being used against you. It is an acceptable biblical
practice to slay either evil priests or prophets through aggressive prayers.
6. Withdraw your benefits and virtues from the altars.
7. Destroy the evil altars.
8. Give praises to God.
Furthermore, to destroy evil altars, you can curse them. You can call the fire of God, or the
divine hurricane of the Holy Spirit to blow them away. Every prayer against evil altars must be
done aggressively and with violent faith. Embark now on the following prayer points to
disgrace evil altars.
PRAYER POINTS
1. I render every aggressive altar impotent, in the mighty name of Jesus.
2. Every evil altar erected against me, be disgraced, in the name of Jesus.
3. Anything done against me under demonic anointing, be nullified, in the name of Jesus.
4. I curse every local altar fashioned against me, in the name of Jesus.
5. Let the hammer of the Almighty God smash every evil altar erected against me, in the name
of Jesus.
6. O Lord, send your fire to destroy every evil altar fashioned against me, in the name of Jesus.
7. Every evil priest ministering against me at the evil altar, receive the sword of God, in the
name of Jesus.
8. Let the thunder of God smite all the evil priests ministering against me at the evil altars and
burn them to ashes, in the name of Jesus.
9. Let every satanic priest ministering against me at any evil altar, fall down and die, in the
name of Jesus.
10. Any hand that wants to retaliate or arrest me because of my prayers, dry up and wither, in
the name of Jesus.
11. Every stubborn evil altar priest, drink your own blood, in the name of Jesus.
12. I possess my possession stolen by any evil altar, in the name of Jesus.
13. I withdraw my name from every evil altar, in the name of Jesus.
14. I withdraw my blessings from every evil altar, in the name of Jesus.
15. I withdraw my breakthroughs from evil altars, in the name of Jesus.
16. (Lay one hand on your head) I withdraw my glory from every evil altar, in Jesus name.
17. (Place your hand on your chest) I withdraw my prosperity from every evil altar, in Jesus name.
18.I withdraw anything representing me from every evil altar, in the name of Jesus.
PERSONAL DELIVERANCE
Before undertaking your personal deliverance you must take the
following steps in order to prepare yourself and identify how to, and
what to do during the personal deliverance.
Below are listed the steps:
1. Identify the problems/areas for deliverance in your life:
• Barrenness of the womb
• Ancestral/generation problems
• Curses
• Covenants/initiations
• Delayed marriage, celibate captivity
• Witchcraft attacks and oppressions

spirits, marine covenants).
• Spirit wife/husband
• Poverty, financial/business failures, spirit of indebtedness
• Stagnation, backwardness
• Spell/jinx/charms
• Infirmities/sickness/disease, etc.
2. a) Identify the sources/roots/gateways and doorways
Ask yourself and find out how you got into these problems/attacks of
demons. What did I do that opened the gateways for these problems/
afflictions? Did a Juju priest/enemies/idolatry (personal and/or family)
open the doorways/gateways? Or was it sin and which sin? Name the
sin and how you got involved. Identify your sin partners, if the sin
partners and you are still committing the sin(s) till now. The following
persons identified the sources/roots/gateways and doorways of their
problems:
i) Jabez identified it (1 Chron. 4:9-10).
ii) Jacob (Gen. 33:27-30).
iii) David too (Ps. 51:1-end).
iv) Joshua too in the Achan matter (Jos. 7:1ff).
v) Joshua the High Priest (Zech. 3:1-7).
Pray these prayer points (not less than 7 times) before you
continue.
Dear Lord God, according to John. 1:5, Jesus is the light of
my life. Let this light now shine, to reveal the root of my
problems and drive away the darkness of sin covering me in
Jesus’ name. Amen. Let there be light in Jesus’ name. Amen.
(12 times).
b) Also identify if the sources/roots/gateways and doorways
are because of ancestral/generational curses, covenants
and issues like that:
So examine your family (paternal and maternal lines) and find
out how these peculiar problems manifested e.g. sickness,
marriage problems, divorce, childbearing, educational
backwardness, financial crises, lack of prosperity, etc.
For example, these families or people suffered because of
ancestral/generational problems:
(i) Abraham had his child late; so did Isaac and Jacob
(Gen. 21:5).
(ii) David and family – blood and immorality;
(iii) King Ahab and his wife Jezebel – blood. The blood of Naboth whom they killed and whose vineyard they
seized. So Jehu killed both of them, including their
seventy (70) children.
(iv) Jehu and family (2 Kg. 9:30-36; 10:1-17) – blood. The blood of the seventy (70) children of Ahab killed at
Jeezrel. (Hos. 1:4).
(v) Ham and his generation – cursed (Gen. 9:20-25).
(vi) The Gibeonites covenant – they are under curse of servitude
(Jos. 9:22-27).
(vii) Eli and family – cursed (1 Sam. 3:11-14).
3. Self-examination (Ps. 51:1-17; Isa. 59:1-5).
Examine yourself and confess, repent and renounce any known sin
in your life. Sin constitutes an hindrance. So remove it. Be thorough
and systematic.
Ps. 66:18: “If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me”.
Sin is the Achan in the camp of your life and deliverance.
(Jos. 7:1-end).
4. Fasting and Prayers Days: (Isa. 58:1-12)
Agree with the Lord the number of days for the spiritual warfare
fasting and prayers for the personal deliverance proper. Spiritual
warfare prayers is normally from 23H30 (11:30 p.m.) to 4H30
(4:30 a.m.).
5. Ask counsel of the Lord. Also ask for prophetic anointing and
discerning of spirits/discernment. (Ps. 32:8-9).
6. Enter into Faith confessional prayers. Read and confess loudly
the following: Lk. 10:19; Jn. 3:16; Jn. 10:10; 1:12; 8:32,36; 10:35;
Eph. 1:3,7; 2:5-6; 3:20; Rom. 16:20; Rev. 12:11; Eph. 1:18 ff.
Col. 1:12-16; 2:13-15; 1 Jn. 4:4; 5:4-5; 3:8(b); 2 Cor. 10:3-6;
Isa. 27:1; 22:22; Isa. 53:3-5; 9:4-5; Matt. 11:11-12; 1 Tim. 1:18;
Ps. 91:3; Gal. 3:13-14.
7. Praise and worship (Ps. 100:4, 103:1-3).
Enter into praise and worship, adoration and thanksgiving.
Ps. 100:4: “Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his
courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name”.
BREAK EVERY CHAINS
BREAKING EVIL CHAINS
Acts 10:38 How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.
WHO IS THIS GOD THAT BREAKS EVIL CHAINS?
God is the mighty deliverer. He is in the business of breaking both spiritual and physical chains. Luke 4:18, Isaiah 61:1-2. In the Bible, which was written for our example and enlightenment, He broke the chains of several people. This included the woman that was bound by the enemy for eighteen years. Luke 13:16. It includes Peter who was put in Jail to be killed like James. The angel of God appeared from nowhere and his very presence melted the chains of captivity. The doors opened of their own accord and Peter walked out of there a free man. Acts 12:6-7 . Another example is that of Paul and Silas who were locked up in the prison and put in chains. As they praised God at midnight, God showed up and the earthquake of deliverance hit the whole prison. The chains again melted and fell off on their own. Acts 16:23-27. Somebody give the Lord a praise offering! It is indeed a privilege to serve this God. This God is indeed our God and we will never stop serving Him. We see, therefore, that God:
1. He is the bondage breaker. Luke 4:18.
2. He is the yoke breaker. Luke 4:18.
3. His very presence melts chains. Judges 15:14, Acts 12:7. 4. He breaks both physical and spiritual chains. Luke 13:11-16, Acts 12:1-11.
5. He not only puts a stop to the oppression of the devil, but He restores what the devil has killed, stolen, and destroyed. Acts 10:38, John 10:10.
6. He is the Great Physician. Acts 10:38.
WHAT ARE CHAINS OF DARKNESS? Chains are ropes or cords that are used to bind a person or a thing. Judges 15:13-14.
1. They are weapons of darkness. Isaiah 54:17.

7. They are instruments of limitation.
8. They are fetters used to bind a person or thing. Mark 5:4, Judges 16:21.
9. They are evil ropes.
10. They are cords of darkness.
11. Chains are not meant for the children of God but to be used by them to bind the wicked among us.
Psalm 149:8. WHAT ARE EVIL CHAINS USED FOR? Evil chains are used by the enemy to do a lot of evil including the following: 1. To detain a person against their will. When you are detained against your will your expected celebration such as marriage cannot manifest.
Prayers: a. Every evil hand detaining and restraining me, wither and catch fire. b. Every witchcraft brown sweeping away my breakthroughs and marriage be roasted to ashes.
2. To pin a person down.
3. To keep people in bondage. Luke 8:29.
4. To bind you so that you are unavailable for the things that God has for you.
5. To put in bonds or stock which are symbols of captivity. Lamentations 3:7.
6. To bind to one spot so that you cannot move beyond the radius of the chain.
7. They are used to restrict a person.
8. They are used to tie up various parts of the body such as the waist, the neck, and the brain. They are also used to tie up the hands which represent your handiwork or legs which represents your establishment.
9. They are used to tie up your whole body, including hands, torso, and legs making you completely unavailable for what has for you such as marriage.
10. They are used to limit you so you do not reach the height God has ordained you to.
11. They are used to introduce sickness and to tie you down to places that you do not want to be such as a hospital bed or a prison for the rest of your life.
12. They are weapons of captivity.
13. They are used to afflict a person.
14. They are used to silence a person.
15. Used to keep a person in a dry land, an unfruitful, desert place.
16. They are to prevent you from fulfilling your goal in life.
17. They are to prevent you from doing what God wants you to do.
18. They divert lives. For example, they make you to marry the wrong person, read the wrong course, or pick the wrong job.
19. They want your potentials to die with you.
20. They want you to die undiscovered, unfulfilled, uncelebrated, and unsung.
21. They do not want you to do what God wants you to do.
22. They do not want you to have what God wants you to have such as a fulfilling marriage and children.
23. They stagnate a person’s life.
24. They abort good pregnancies and propagating evil pregnancies.
Prayer: They pregnancy of good things within me will not be aborted by any evil power, in the name of Jesus.
25. They are used to enforce evil verdicts in a person’s life. Examples of evil verdicts are “You shall never marry,” “You shall never excel,” “You will return to Nigeria the same way you left,” and “You will never settle down in life.”
WHAT KEEPS EVIL CHAINS IN PLACE? There are certain factors that keep evil chains in place in a person’s life. These are discussed below:
1. Curses and incantations There are Balaams that are hired by the wicked to put curses on people. Numbers 22:4-12. They present your case before evil altars and priests. They pray evil prayers against people, hold evil vigils, and offer evil petitions against people to limit their lives and arrest their progress. Genesis 49:2-7.
Prayer: Every power offering evil petitions against me die now.
2. Unbroken covenants This includes evil dedication strange powers and collective captivity.
3. Enchantments, hexes, jinxes, and divination They consult sorcerers, psychics, false prophets, witch doctors, occult mediums, and other satanic intermediaries against people. Numbers 23:17, 23.
Prayer: Every strange power, strange mirror, and strange candle being used against me shatter, in the name of Jesus.
4. Faulty foundation You have to deal with powers from your foundation that want to:
a. Ensure you do prosper in life
b. Delay your blessings including marriage, calling, career, and business.
c. Manipulate you into making unpardonable errors and mistakes in order to divert and waste your destiny. These powers include ancestral powers, familiar spirits, marine, and witchcraft powers. They use various weapons including evil patterns, collective captivity, placenta manipulation, and problems from childhood to derail destinies, particularly colorful ones.
5. Evil Summons People are summoned to evil gatherings and evil judgements and pronouncements are made against them. Sicknesses and insanity may also be put on them. People’s placenta can also be used to summon them. I pray that all such judgments and evil pronouncements made against your life be revoked by the blood of Jesus in Jesus name.
6. Witchcraft Powers These powers specialize in bewitching and selling off destinies particularly colorful ones. They use various witchcraft weapons to terrorize their victims. These include witchcraft pots, dolls, mortars, brooms, animals, and judgments.
7. Strongmen These include ancestral, witchcraft, and marine strongmen. They also include the physical strongman that is controlling and manipulating everyone in your family.
8. Wicked Powers They specialize in firing evil arrows at their victims. These can bring sickness, poverty, insanity and even untimely death. Wickedness is everywhere these days. They are in the neighborhoods, schools, market place, work place, and even in the church.
9. Evil Yokes These attract various problems into a person’s life such as rejection, sluggishness, satanic delay, and disappointment.
10. Evil Consumption This causes a lot of problems in people’s lives. A lot of evil things are programmed into people’s lives through what they have eaten and swallowed especially those that they were fed with when they were young.
Prayers:
1. Everything that I have eaten or swallowed that is chaining me inside, I vomit your now. (Put your finger in your throat and force it out).
2. Evil worms acquired from any evil thing that I have eaten that is hiding in my body, come out now, die.
SYMPTOMS OF A CHAINED LIFE
1. Stagnancy
2. Failure, frustration, and backwardness. Acts 12:6-7, Judges 15:14.
3. Vagabond anointing This is also known as “Born for nothing” syndrome. This is tantamount to a wasted life.
4. Circular problems
5. Rising and falling
6. Hatred, rejection, and disappointments
7. Failure at the edge of success.
8. Unexplainable sickness.
9. Sluggishness and satanic delay of goodness
Prayer: I shall reach my destiny at the appointed time at the name of Jesus.
HOW DO YOU DEAL WITH EVIL CHAINS?
1. Get saved and get to know God. You need His power to break the chains.
2. Repent of all known sins, both your personal sins and those of your ancestors. These are the ladders keeping evil chains in place. Psalm 107:17.

The Warriors Lifestyle
THE WARRIOR'S LIFESTYLE
|
Spiritual warfare is part of the victorious Christian lifestyle. After the anointing of the Holy Spirit came on Jesus, He rebuked evil spirits, faced Satan, healed the sick, raised the dead, rebuked storms, and spoiled principalities and powers.
Spiritual warfare is part of Christianity, and the spiritual warfare is not over. Historically, the rise and fall of spiritual power within the Church of Christ have been related to the acknowledgment and opposition toward demonic principalities and powers. As leaders recognized the spiritual warfare caused by demon powers they equipped believers to use their delegated spiritual authority to fight back. When leaders ignored the dark rulers of this world believers and the Church suffered.
You are in a spiritual war whether you want to be or not. Jesus did not ignore demon powers, and he didn’t teach his apostles to ignore them either (Matthew 10:1). The Apostle Paul taught the church in Ephesus how to battle saying,
“Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armor of God that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armor of God that ye may be able to withstand (fight back) in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.” (Ephesians 6:10-13)
Warriors wear armor. Armor is for the fighting man. Paul likens spiritual opposition to warfare. He teaches five important truths.
The Apostle Paul knew much about the spiritual opposition against him. “For a great door and effectual is opened unto me and there are many adversaries” (1 Corinthians 16:9). He continually uses warfare terms when teaching and training leaders.
FIGHT THE GOOD FIGHT OF FAITH
“Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses.” (1 Timothy 6:12)
A GOOD SOLDIER
“Thou, therefore, endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.” (2 Timothy 2:3)
STAY FREE
“No man that warreth entangles himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier.” (2 Timothy 2:4)
WAR A GOOD WARFARE
“This charge I commit unto thee, son Timothy, according to the prophecies which went before on thee, that thou by them mightest war a good warfare.” (1 Timothy 1:18)
WAR NOT AFTER THE FLESH
“For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh:” (2 Corinthians 10:3)
SPIRITUAL WEAPONS
“For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds. “ (2 Corinthians 10:4)
You are a warrior. Speak to those storms, mountains, and giants that get in your way. Occupy till He comes.
