Divine Multiplication
The principles of divine multiplication are spiritual laws that describe how God takes limited human resources, efforts, or faith and exponentially amplifies them for a greater impact. These principles are frequently rooted in biblical foundations.
The fundamental principles include:
a. The Law of the Seed: You cannot reap a harvest without first planting. In the context of divine multiplication, this means giving of your time, talents, or finances - 2 Corinthians 9:6
b. Surrender and Release: God cannot multiply what you hold on to. Just like the boy in the feeding of the 5,000 who surrendered his meager five loaves and two fish, you must let go of your resources to allow them to be distributed and increased.
c. Gratitude and Thanksgiving: Expressing deep gratitude shifts your focus from what you lack to the abundance of God. Jesus gave thanks to God for the limited food before the miracle of multiplication took place.
d. Proportionality: While the harvest can be exponential, it is often proportional to the planting. Investing minimally can yield limited results, whereas giving generously or faithfully out of obedience paves the way for larger returns.
e. The Law of Surrender: God multiplies what is first given and broken. Like the feeding of the five thousand (Matthew 14:15-21), the insufficient becomes abundant only when relinquished into Christ's hands.
The main take-away then is this: To “be fruitful and multiply” in the spiritual sense is to recognize that a law of multiplication is in effect.
And (God) Who provides seed for the sower and bread for eating will also provide and multiply your resources. - Eph. 3:20
The multiplication that occurs is not according to man’s measurement, but according to God’s unlimited supply.
