                              UNDERSTANDING COVENANT OF PROSPERITY

“Let them shout for joy, and be glad that favour my righteous cause; yea, let them say continually,
let the LORD be magnified, which hath pleasure in the prosperity of his servant” Psalms 35:27
Beloved, I am extremely glad to let you know that prosperity is one of the programmes of heaven to
beautify your life and destiny and make you reflect God’s personality and as a matter of truth,
prosperity is one of the most crucial issues Jesus addressed during His first coming. Jesus exchanged
His prosperity with our poverty; he died wretched so we might be made rich and become wealthy.

Psalms 50:10; Luke 4:18, 2Corinthians 8:9.
If you are convinced that you are a true child of God, the very day you accepted Jesus Christ as your
Lord and Saviour is the day you stepped into inexplicable financial fortune. You have ever since
become members of the family of God, unarguably, the wealthiest family of all ages.
Your connection with Jesus Christ has automatically terminated your financial hardship and
disconnected you from the flow of financial crisis. The power or call it the grace to attract Kingdom
wealth has been given to you. Deuteronomy 8:18.
You are to exhibit strange financial fortune as long as you live because it is one of the benefits of
redemption.
Friends, frankly speaking, God’s ultimate desire is to see you swimming in the deluge of financial
blessings, He is extremely glad to see you reflecting Him and He has unstoppable plans to make you a
financial wonder to this generation but you must understand and practice covenant prosperity to see
this come to pass in your life. Psalms 35:27, 3John 2.
Until one has good understanding about covenant of prosperity, to stand out as a Kingdom giant
will be extremely difficult. The best way to appreciate the word “understanding” is in the result the
one who professes to have understanding has.
In Proverbs 13:15, King Solomon told us that it is good understanding that gives favour. In other
words, good understanding about covenant of prosperity yields financial favour: it brings about
financial turn‐around; it takes you from the realm of lack to the realm of abundance; it re‐positions
you from the arena of poverty to the good atmosphere of Kingdom prosperity.
I tell you something, good understanding is crucial!
Beloved, I want you to get this clear, in Isaiah 60:2; the Word of the Lord reveals to us that darkness
shall cover the Earth and gross darkness the people. Darkness symbolizes ignorance, it portrays lack of
understanding and poverty is an outstanding sign of darkness, it is also a reward of ignorance.
Prophetically, the whole wide world is wallowing in deep darkness and poverty has ravaged financial
destiny of countless of people even many countries of the world. Those who Christ consciously died
for are also wallowing in inexplicable financial crisis simply because they are yet to understand
covenant of prosperity.
Friends, until you consciously walk in the covenant of prosperity, you cannot but remain a pauper, a
beggar, one whose life cannot be traced to the door step of covenant prosperity.
Understanding and walking in the covenant of prosperity is what ushers you out of the darkness
where poverty reigns and positions you under a glorious cloud of Kingdom prosperity where no man
can pretend not to recognize you as someone whom Heaven has blessed supernaturally.
It is a common thing in the body of Christ to sing and claim the deluge of blessings God has extended
to Abraham by singing “Abraham’s blessings are mine…” Abraham was a covenant practitioner and
God in turn flung him into a realm of mysterious wealth and abundance in that the Holy Bible testifies
that God blessed him in virtually everything you can think of as proofs of prosperity. Genesis 24:1.
If you too must attract and reflect Abraham’s order of financial prosperity which God has already
made available for everybody, you must practice consciously all the days of your life covenant that
makes financial prosperity possible.
At this juncture therefore, I will be showing you covenant steps that must not be negotiated nor
dodged if you really desire to walk out of poverty into divine prosperity.
GATEWAY TO FINANCIAL BLESSING
I consider covenant labour as gateway to financial blessing. God only extends His blessings to His
people through the works of their hands that is why He declared in Deuteronomy 28:8 and Psalms 1:3
that He will bless whatever you lay your hands on.
Anyone that does nothing cannot receive God’s blessings. You career, business or service you render
to people is financial gateway to experience financial blessing. Abraham was a tireless worker and he
laid up gold as dust and until you lay your hands on something you cannot lay up gold as dust. Think
on what you can do for a living; be committed in doing it and through it, financial blessing will flow to
your direction.
MAKE SURE YOU DON’T ROB GOD!
In Malachi 3:8‐10, God lamented seriously about those who robbed Him by not paying their tithes.
We are enjoined in Proverbs 3:9 to honour the Lord with our substance and with the first fruits of all
our increase and with the first fruit of all our increase. In other words, when God blesses and prospers
the work of your hand, 10% of it must go to God as your tithe.
Father Abraham paid tithe in his days no wonder God surprised him with unthinkable financial
prosperity. Genesis 14:20 if life must not be tight for you, make sure you pay your tithe to where you
are fed spiritually. Robbing God of your tithe is unknowingly robbing off your opportunity to be
established financially.
GIVE GOD YOUR POVERTY!
Friends, giving is one of the covenant practices that awesomely establishes any man’s financial
destiny. It is undisputable fact that nobody came to this world with any money, whosoever has it is
blessed by God with it.
One of the great undoing of men even Christians is tight‐fisted, giving meagerly; scantily and
conservatively. Truly, many people pay their tithes yes, but there is a covenant practice that is more
than tithe payment. In tithe payment, you only succeeded to give God 10 out of 100 He has blessed
you with.
Something historic happened in the book of 1Kings 3 when young King Solomon demonstrated strange
love for God by giving God for the first time in the history of mankind a thousand burnt offering at
Gibeon.
In my search, I discovered in the book of Joshua that Gibeon in the time of old was a centre of
civilization and you should know that in every civilized city, there tends to be wealthy and financial
affluent there. But none of those wealthy people gave God something worthwhile until many years
after those people had lived that Solomon tore Heaven open through his hilarious giving.
No matter how rich you think you are and no matter what you give to God, you are only giving Him
your poverty so He can give you His prosperity and cause you to float forever on the ocean of financial
fortune.
King David who taught his son Solomon the secret of financial explosion was also a crazy giver. In
1Chronicles 29:2, he said that he had prepared with all his might for the house of his God. As at that
time, he was the ruling and the reigning King in Israel and in all his power and majesty as King, he gave
God sacrificially. While valuing one of the one time giving David gave to God by the American valuers,
it was amounted to 576 millions US dollars. That is something more than tithe Sir!
David gave God liberally and God labeled him as a man after His own heart because his giving life
touched the innermost part of the Almighty God.
Father Abraham was at the verge of slaying his only son Isaac in Genesis 22 and God stopped him from
doing that and immediately sworn upon him generational blessings simply because God proved him to
be a cheerful giver.
There are unaccountable projects in the house of God, be part of it financially, materially, give
sacrificially, give meaningfully! That could be what you need to do to terminate that burden in your
life forever!
Please get this right; no matter how much you give to God, you can’t beat Him in giving. If you have
given God in thousands before, He has millions in stock to give back to you and if you have been
privileged to give in millions ; you are signing in to become Kingdom billionaire which generation yet
unborn will bless that you were born.
John D. Rockefeller had gone to be with the Lord several years back but his sacrificial giving to the
Kingdom of God is still speaking till now in America.
Dr David Olaniyi oyedepo, chancellor of Covenant University – Nigeria testified how he gave God his
poverty at different times and those covenant steps he took few years back have turned him to be one

GIVE WILLING, GIVE CHEERFULLY!
Let me sound this warning, no matter what you give to God, if your heart is not right and perfect, it is
a waste and useless. 2 Chronicles 16:9, 2Corinthians 9:7.
Hear this; God is not in need, His servants who He placed over churches as Pastors are not in need
rather. Whatever you give to God is for His work and is to meet your own needs. Therefore give
whatever you are giving willingly, heartily and cheerfully.
When you give cheerfully, you receive a wonderful harvest in turn. You will not miss your rewards in
Jesus name Amen!
