Why Tongues- Papa Kenneth E. Hagin

Why Tongues? By KENNETH E. HAGIN TEN REASONS WHY EVERY BELIEVER SHOULD SPEAK IN TONGUES "And these signs shall follow them that believe ... they shall speak with new tongues" (Mark 16:17). The apostle Paul wrote much about the subject of speaking in other tongues. He apparently practiced what he preached for he said, "I thank my God, I speak with tongues more than ye all" (I Cor. 14:18). I too, thank God that I speak in tongues with regularity, and would wish for every believer this same blessing and source of power in his everyday life. The purpose of Part II of this book is to set forth major reasons why every Christian should speak in tongues, and to help believers see the blessings which can be theirs through appropriating the power of the Holy Spirit daily. Reason 1—Tongues the Initial Sign ACTS 2:4 4 And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance. The Word of God teaches that when we are

Levels of His Presence

Levels of his Presence    There is a level of the presence of God which you do not want to return from. While you rejoice in your heart, normal life feels dull for a time after you experience God so near. There are, in fact, four levels of the presence of God which we see in Scripture and which we can experience. The four levels of the presence of God are the: Omni-presence Indwelling presence Manifest presence Evidential presence Omni-presence The omni-presence of God simply means that God is everywhere whether we perceive Him or not. The prefix, “omni,” is a Latin term meaning, all or universal. So you could call this the universal presence of God, or say that God is all-present. God is everywhere always because “… all things were created through him and for him. And he is before all things, and in him all things hold together.” (Col. 1:16-17 ESV). King David summarized it well when He wrote, “Where shall I go from your Spirit? Or where shall I flee from your presence?” (Psa. 139:7 E

Happy 164th CMS Anniversary

Happy 164th CMS Igbo Missions Anniversary Matt. 4:16 KJV:- The people which sat in darkness saw great light; and to them which sat in the region and shadow of death light is sprung up. One of the greatest events in world history is the coming of Christianity to Igboland on July 27, 1857, exactly one hundred and sixty-four years today. Christianity emanated from the early European invasion of West Africa in the early fifteenth century, when Christian priests traveled with traders to spread the message of the gospel to Africa, which the white men regarded as a Dark Continent. As the saying goes, the church followed trade. Series of expeditions were sponsored by the British government trooped to Africa, basically to trace the source and end of the River Niger. They were also to explore trading possibilities in the interior of the continent. Thus, in 1841, the Government commissioned three ships – the Albert, Wilberforce and Sudan. They were to explore and chart Rivers Niger and Benue, w

Gate Keepers of His Presence- James Goll

Gate Keepers of His Presence- James Goll The Importance of Gates We will be looking at the subject of opening the gates in the realm of the spirit. In the natural, gates are used for two primary purposes: To keep things or persons out by being closed. To let things or persons in by being open. As it is in the natural, so it is as well in the spiritual. From the Life of Abraham Gen. 22: 14-18 –  Indeed I will greatly bless you, and I will greatly multiply your seed as the stars of the heavens, as the sand which is on the seashore; and your seed shall possess the gate of their enemies. And in your seed all the nations of the earth shall be blessed, because you have obeyed my voice. Gal. 3:16 –  Now the promises were spoken to Abraham and to his seed. He does not say, “and to seeds,” as referring to many, but rather to one, “and to your seed,” that is, Christ. It is through Christ that you are blessed. The power of the blessing will flow to such an extent that the power of the blessing

Sow in Tears for Kingdom Labour

THOSE WHO SOW IN TEARS.... In 1921 David and Svea Flood went with their two-year-old son from Sweden to the heart of Africa, to what was then called the Belgian Congo. This missionary couple met up with the Ericksons, another young Scandinavian couple, and the four of them sought God for direction. In those days of much devotion and sacrifice, they felt led of the Lord to set out from the main mission station to take the gospel to the village of N’dolera, a remote area. This was a huge step of faith. There, they were rebuffed by the chief, who would not let them enter his town for fear of alienating the local gods. The two couples opted to build their own mud huts half a mile up the slope. They prayed for a spiritual breakthrough, but there was none. Their only contact with the villagers was a young boy, who was allowed to sell them chickens and eggs twice a week. Svea Flood—a tiny woman only four feet, eight inches tall—decided that if this was the only African she could talk to, sh

Prayer & Prophetic Congress- Special Invitation

Prayer & Prophetic Congress- Special Invitation There is a growing hunger in the Body of Christ for a deeper relationship with Jesus and to experience more of the Holy Spirit’s power and the full manifest expression of his Glory. The prayer and Prophetic Dimension of Victorious Intercession edifies the body of Christ to walk out practical expressions of the compassion and justice of the Kingdom of God. The Spirit is raising up the most powerful prayer and Prophetic movement in the Global Church that will Quicken up the Harvest, which will result in the greatest outpouring of his Spirit with Great Apostolic signs and wonders (Joel 2:28–31).  For all eternity, the redeemed will be called the house of prayer by God Himself (Isa. 56:7). This refers to our function as a praying people. The dynamic of believing prayer is that God speaks and moves our hearts, then we speak and move His heart to release His power.
