The Holy Spirit

The Role of the Holy Spirit (Hagios Pneuma) P art of the Holy Spirit’s role is to reveal Jesus, the Father, the heavenly realms, and the mysteries of God. He will lead and guide us into all truth ( John 16:13 ). Without the Holy Spirit we cannot have truth revealed to us. In scripture, we see the Holy Spirit revealed as the One who: 1 • Leads/Directs - Matt. 4:1; Mark 1:12; Luke 4:1; 2:27; Rom. 8:14; Acts 8:29 • Speaks (in, to and through) - Matt. 10:20; Acts 1:16; 2:4; 13:2; 28:25; Heb. 3:7 • Casts out devils - Matt. 12:28 • Releases power - Luke 4:14 • Anoints - Luke 4:18; Acts 10:38 • Comes upon/Falls on - Matt. 3:16; Mark 1:10; Luke 2:25; 3:22; 4:18; John 1:32-33; Acts 10:44; 11:15 • Baptised/Filled with - Matt. 3:11; Mark 1:8; Luke 1:15; Luke 1:41, 67; 3:16; 4:1; John 1:33; Acts 4:8, 31; 6:3, 5; 10:47; 2:4; 1:4-5; 7:55; 11:24; 13:9, 52; 1 Cor. 12:13 • Gives new birth - John 3:5, 8 • Leads into worship - John 4:23 • Flows like a river from the spiri

Remember, In prayer, we focus our mind on God in two ways: on the Father sitting on His Throne (Rev. 4) and on the Spirit who lives in our spirit. We walk in the Spirit to the degree we talk to the Him (Gal 5:16). I’ll start this post with two that are are so key, so critical: Prayer to recei

The Apostolic Spirit

1 Corinthians 2:11-12 1Co 2:12  Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God. 1Co 2:13  Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual. 1Co 2:14  But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. 1Co 2:15  But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man. 1Co 2:16  For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ. For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? Even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God. .
